Anything But a Cup Day

If you noticed a few very interesting drink containers around the school today… you weren’t imagining things!

Our staff had a secret spirit day, and the theme was: Anything But a Cup (or Water Bottle) Day! Let’s just say creativity was flowing just as much as the coffee.

From unexpected kitchen items to completely unconventional containers, staff showed up ready to commit to the theme. There were definitely a few confused looks in the hallways and more than a few laughs. Students quickly caught on that something unusual was happening, and it made for some great conversations and giggles throughout the day.

While it may have looked a little strange at first, it was all in good fun. Moments like these remind us that school isn’t just about learning facts and skills. It is also about community, connection, and not taking ourselves too seriously.

A big thank you to our staff for embracing the fun and adding a little extra joy to the day. We might have gotten some weird looks, but we had a great time doing it!

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible School Council for their fundraising efforts in support of our school.

Because of your generosity and dedication, we now have new snowshoes for our students to use. Living and learning in the North means embracing the outdoors in every season, and these snowshoes will allow more classes to get outside, explore our winter landscape, and stay active during the colder months.

Having enough quality equipment ensures that all students can participate fully. Outdoor learning builds resilience, confidence, and a strong connection to the land around us. Whether students are exploring local trails, learning about winter ecosystems, or simply enjoying time together in the fresh air, these snowshoes will make a lasting difference.

Thank you for supporting opportunities that enrich our students’ experiences both inside and outside the classroom. We are so grateful for all that you do for our school community!

Check out grade 1B learning to snowshoe!
