4A Wraps Up Energy Unit with Exciting Transformation Stations!

Grade 4A students wrapped up their Science unit on Energy with a hands-on class full of discovery and fun! As part of their learning about how energy transforms from one form to another, students rotated through a variety of interactive stations designed to bring these concepts to life.
Picture
At one station, glow sticks lit up the room as students explored chemical energy transforming into light energy. At another, hand-cranked flashlights demonstrated how mechanical energy (turning the crank) could be converted into electrical and light energy, and at another how gravitational energy turns into kinetic. Using thermometers, students also investigated how energy can transfer as heat.

Through these exciting activities, students saw firsthand how energy moves and changes form all around us. It was a fantastic way to end the unit, leaving everyone curious and energized for more scientific exploration!

This week, our school was filled with excitement and creativity as the Drama Club and Production Club, with our amazing Mrs. Durham, brought The Wizard of Oz to life on stage! Our students wowed the audience with their acting, storytelling, and incredible teamwork.
What made this production truly special was that it was built from the ground up! All the sets were self-made by the students in the Production Club, who poured their time and creativity into making the magical world of Oz come to life. From painted backdrops to handmade props, every detail reflected their hard work and imagination.

A huge thank you goes out to our dedicated Drama and Production Club team for their time, support, and vision.  An extra thank you for our grade 7 students running sound, and to Mrs. Durham for all her hard work. We’re incredibly proud of all the students who acted, helped behind the scenes, and made this show unforgettable.
Thank you to all the families, staff, and classmates who came to cheer on our performers!

As Dorothy says, “There’s no place like home,” and we couldn’t agree more. What a joyful celebration of student talent and school spirit!
