Today, our school community came together for something truly special, our very first Culture Day!
Students were invited to wear cultural clothing or outfits that represent where they are from, and the hallways were filled with colour, pride, and stories. It was powerful to see students sharing pieces of their identity so confidently. Culture is not just something we learn about in books. It is something we live, celebrate, and honour together.
Our celebration began with First Nations drumming and song, along with a short introduction explaining the meaning and purpose of the song.

What stood out most was the way students supported one another, watching attentively, cheering respectfully, and celebrating the courage it takes to share a part of your culture with others.
Culture Day reminded us that our diversity is one of our greatest strengths. When we create space to share our traditions, music, clothing, and stories, we build understanding and belonging for everyone.
We are so proud of our students and grateful to everyone who helped make this first Culture Day such a meaningful and joyful experience. We are already looking forward to next year!
